March 9th, 2010 by Nicola Ventrella
We’re pleased to announce that we have been confirmed as one of the primary sponsors of the Brum Twestival, which will take place on Thursday 25th March 2010 at Poppy Red, Arcadian!
Introduced last year, Twestival (or Tweet Festival) aims at using “social media for social good”. On Thursday 25th March 2010, cities around the world will be hosting local events which are completely organised by volunteers. Thousands of people are expected to come together across the globe to raise money for a really worthwhile cause.
Concern Worldwide, an international humanitarian organisation, has been chosen as this year’s recipient. Since beginning their mission over 42 years ago, they have been dedicated to reducing suffering and eradicating extreme poverty in some of the poorest areas of the world.
100% of the money raised at these events will go directly to the education programmes run by Concern Worldwide. These programmes target the world’s poorest and most marginalised children by improving their access to education.

The Brum Twestival will take place from 7pm on Thursday 25th March 2010 at Poppy Red, Arcadian. Tickets are available now for a bargain price of £5 (£7 on the door). They include a drink, some nibbles and a guaranteed good time! There will be a raffle, games, DJs and…A magician. Need I say more?!
If you want to get involved and support a great cause, head over to the Brum Twestival site and book your ticket now.
See you on the 25th March!
